PURPOSE
 
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
 
The FUMC United Methodist Women meet on the fourth Thursday of the month (August-May) with fellowship beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by a program at 12:00 p.m. Periodically, the fellowship will include a salad luncheon.
 
Craft days are held the last Saturday of the month 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. in Room 102, Christian Life Center.
 
Special events include the annual joint meeting of the Mystery Dinner hosted by Diane Underwood, UMW Sunday, the annual fall bazaar held in November, hosting the fellowship gathering following the Ministerial Alliance-sponsored community Thanksgiving service the third Sunday of November, and the joint UMW Christmas party held the second Tuesday in December.

Meetings
Ladies meet on the last Monday evening of every month at 6:30 p.m. for games and fellowship. The group also meets to make crafts and to prepare casseroles for the annual fall bazaar. Rampage Hockey Night
When scheduled, the ladies will meet and travel to San Antonio to attend a Rampage hockey game.  Please contact Dee Ann Dillahunty for more information.
